Secret Doors
Can anyone help me out with making secret doors?

Scripting is not my strong point and while I'm slowly learning I can't figure out how to do secret doors. Any help mucho appreciated. Thanks.

Jumping the well
Just wondering if anyone can give me the script that allows PCs to jump down a well, or lower themselves to a well. It is basically the conversations area transfer script when you just make the well and NPC, right? Well, (no pun intended) I i dont know that one either. Give me a post, or better, a screen cap.

Well don't just stand there.....
Just joined the forum. Hoping someone can help me out. I've read pretty well near everything I can find on waypoints. I just can't seem to get people to walk around.

I have a barmaid (ct_barmaid). I'd like her to walk around thee, stopping at each table. I put a waypoint at each table. I tag the waypoints as wp_ct_barmaid_01, wp_ct_barmaid_02...etc. I then shift-click on them all and create a group which I call wp_ct_barmaid.

This doesn't work. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

I have other questions about breathing life into my NPCs but I'll hold those until I investigate further.

who's who?
I can't remember if we've discussed this before or not... if you're on the BioWare Neverwinter Nights community site forums, what's your user ID there?

I'm Taffer, of course.

I'm sick of reading all the posts from people complaining that C is too hard a language
to learn for NWNScript. I'm also sick of their whiny rhetoric about how hard it is to
do X. I'm sorry, this just isn't a point-and-click-and-go type deal.

I wrote a really quick module last night in around a half hour to play with the game and for a specific purpose. A friend's character got erased due to buggy glitchiness, and he wanted to make a new level six character. So I made a quick module that's just one room with a super powerful trainer guy in it that lets you choose what level you want to be, and then grants you the XP for it. There are also eight chests that give you somewhat class appropriate equipment, depending on your class and level (open the chests after you level up). Feel free to check it out, I've posted the zip file containing the module. Download it, unzip it, and stick it in your c:\NeverwinterNights\modules directory.

Basic skills I learned how to use included a tiny bit of script writing. Does anyone know if there's a way to pass a parameter into a script? It'd be nicer to be able to call level_to(int) than making 19 seperate scripts for level_to_1 - level_to_20, which is the quick way I did it last night.

I won't be able to play or script much more in the next few days. My house got hit by lightning last night and my PC got fried. Need to figure out what's broken on this machine and fix it, or get a new one. My iMac is fine though, at least.

makabriel and balatro told me last night that they were having a spot of trouble
getting the conversations to work. Could you guys post the scripts that you were trying to use? After
our game last night I opened up Aurora and got a conversation working, so I'm interested in seeing what
I did differently....
